Principal's Report 11/12/20

Christmas Giving Tree and Christmas Carols.

We are so excited that we can hold our Christmas Carols this year! Our carols will be on the basket ball court next Monday from 4-5pm. Please bring your own cushion to sit on,  sun protection and best singing voices. A gelati van will be visiting and selling gelati. Santa and his elf will be attending as well. This event is for FPS immediate families only due to COVID restrictions on numbers at our school events.

The Christmas Giving Tree is up! Every year our Student Representative Council collect gifts for Anglicare for children who may not have the opportunity to receive gifts at Christmas. We ask that families bring a gift that is wrapped with a  label  on the outside indicating if the gift is for a boy or girl or non gender specific and a suggested age group.

2021 Year 6 Student Leaders

A huge congratulations to our 2021 Year 6 leaders.  Year 5s presented a speech to their peers in Years 4-6 and have been voted in by these students and also FPS staff.

School Captains: Thomas and Marie

Vice Captains: Beth and Ethan

Mooltan: Dante                                Cashmere: Elisa

Mangalore: Naomi                          Delhi: Aksha

All of our year 6s are role models and school leaders and we are excited to have them represent and lead our school in 2021.

Farewell Year 6s

It is nearly time for our Year 6s to say goodbye to FPS. They have an exciting week planned with a fun day out, dress up days and their graduation on Wednesday evening. Every year our Year 6s leave a legacy art project. It is a special piece that we can remember them by and a part of themselves that they leave behind. I encourage parents/carers to come and look at the legacy project this year- the Acts Of Kindness Tree in our administration corridor. A huge thank you to our Year 6s for this beautiful art work and to our Art teacher Roz Kennedy.

Bike Hospital 11/12

The Bicycle Hospital is back in person – like real people you can talk to – this Friday.

Please come and see us and say hello. We’ll be doing bike repairs, receiving donations and getting more people on bikes.

We welcome volunteers to help out as we are sure to be busy.  Come and check out the new bike parking shed!

Over the extended lockdown we operated remotely and were able to recycle over 70 bikes. Thank you all for your donations and contributions.
