All students in Grades Prep-2 attend an hour of art each week. Students in Grades 3-6 attend an hour a week in one semester alternating with Classroom Music.
The program is sequential and developmental with a range of skills, vocabulary and experiences focussed on each term.
Art extension classes are offered to studentsd in Grades 3/4 and they participate in additional classes and excursions eaach semester.

Exploring the formal characteristics of sculptural forms through exploration of the limitations, strengths and potential of media used. An emphasis will be on qualities of sculpture such as special relationships and movement. |

Experimenting with multi block prints and collographs to create texture and mood. |

| Grade 1/2 | Stand Up! | To explore and define space through work with relief and free standing forms using paper and recycled materials. | ||
| The Sea | Developing understandings about print making through exploration of the theme. Activities will include, monoprinting, built up prints and colour classification. |

| People Pictures | Elaborating on what individual characteristics make you identifiable. Exploring similarity and difference through discussion of groups such as families, cultures and age. | |||
| Patterns and Prints | Defining pattern. Experimenting with pattern making that uses specific art elements. Making links with pattern making and print making (eg. Repetition) and comparing natural and man made patterns. |
