Instrumental Music Program

The Flemington Primary School Council operates an extensive Instrumental Music program for students in Grades 1 - 6. The program is coordinated by Mr Vern O'Hara, the school Classroom Music teacher and an acomplished pianist.

You may contact him at Vern email or on 0403 777 050

Students attend lessons with Instrumental Music teachers - either singly, in pairs or a small group. Lessons occur during school time and are rotated weekly so children do not miss the same class lesson every week. Lessons are taken in one of the rooms in the Arts Complex. This provides 3 distinct teaching spaces in either the old Dental Clinic - 2 spaces or the school purchased portable building.

Lessons are offered in the following instruments and by the following teachers:

Clarinet/Flute/Saxophone Leonie Khoury
Cello Robert Ekselman
Drums/Guitar Rob Gennari
Piano Evatt Aoki, Vern O'Hara & Rosey Vizard
Trumpet/Trombone Per Forsberg
Theory Vern O'Hara & Rosey Vizard
Violin Gavin Lang
