The Department of Education & Early Childhood Development provides support to students through a range of School Student Support Officers. Flemington Primary School accesses the following:
Judy Lay - School Nursing Program. provdes health, vision and hearing assessments for all Prep students. Additional assessments are available upon request.
Fiona Marcum - Psychologist who completes assessments for learning disabilities; applications for funding support through the Program for Students with Disabilities; counselling; social skills, friendship and anger management groups and provides staff and parent advice.
Nadia Cocomazzo - Speech Therapist who completes assessments for severe language disabilities; provides therapy for students in need with articulation, fluency and phonological understanding and screens students for auditory processing difficulties.
Visiting Teachers for students with impairments in vision, hearing and mobility.
Visiting ESL Teachers from Western English Language Service
Additional support is available through a range of paramedical professionals such as Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Behavioural Optometry, Educational Audiology, Auditory Processing and Auditory Memory.
A Student Referral form is available from the Assistant Principal.
